** To borrow a laptop or calculator, you must provide a current borrowing card.  Laptops and calculators must be returned 15 minutes before the library closes.

County Resident Borrowing Privileges

Adult (18+) residents of Montgomery County may borrow materials if they establish a county residents borrowers account by providing proof of residency to the college's Enrollment Services. County Residents should visit the enrollment services windows in College Hall (central campus) or South Hall (west campus), and provide proof of residency.  They will be issued a card that can be used in the libraries.

Alumni Borrowing Privileges

Alumni who live in Montgomery County should opt first for county resident borrowing privileges.  Alumni who are not county residents may borrow materials if they establish an alumni account.  Non-county-resident alumni should visit the enrollment services windows in College Hall (central campus) or South Hall (west campus) to confirm that they are a former student.  They will be issued a card that can be used in the libraries.

TCLC College Students

Students at Tri-State College Library Cooperative (TCLC) institutions may borrow materials from MCCC libraries for a specified semester.  Students should obtain a letter, using this form, from their college librarian stating that they are in good standing at their home college, and will abide by MCCC policies.  Bring the signed letter in person to MCCC libraries and library staff will accompany them to enrollment services to create a TCLC borrow's account and be issues a card.  A photocopy of the letter should be retained in the library Dean's office.

Placing Holds

You can place a hold on an item for pickup at the circulation desk.

Here's how...

  1. Search our library catalog for the items you wish to borrow.
  2. Click on the "Place Hold" button next to the item title.
  3. Enter your college ID number twice.
  4. Select which library you want to pick up your item, then click the "Place Hold" button.
  5. When the item is available for pickup, you'll receive an email!

Notes:

  • Transfers between campuses can take 2 to 3 days.
  • Some items, such as course reserves, cannot have holds.
